Umpiring News

News Update As At 09/06/2010:  Notification has been received from Netball NSW that it is no longer a requirement to complete the ASC Introductory Officiating General Principles online course as part of the Level One Umpires Course.

For anyone that completed the recent Level One Umpires course, but had not completed the online course, it is now not required.  Future participants are not required to complete the online course.

This decision was made by Netball Australia in light of feedback that a large percentage of younger participants found the course too complex and demanding.

Umpire theory exam is now AVAILABLE ON-LINE (ie: no longer a paper exam)

· Participants will be able to print a certificate if they obtain 70% or over.
· If a participant does not choose a response for a question, it will be marked as incorrect.
· If the participant passes the exam they will be provided with their score and information about what question they got correct/incorrect.

· If a participant fails they will not receive a score or information of what questions they got correct / incorrect

(to encourage them to go back and look at the rule book)

Anyone can sit this exam at any time - unlimited attempts until you get a pass mark.

REMINDER: 

All FDAS Umpires must sign in 15 minutes prior to the start of the game.  Failure to supply an umpire will result in

points loss to the FDAS team plus fines.  Coaches please ensure that you organise your Umpires each week.
